RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Interface with clients and brokers to gather and prepare property exposure data for catastrophe modeling accounts in the insurance/reinsurance industry.
- Assess data quality and make necessary assumptions for modeling.
- Analyze changes in exposure and the associated impact of catastrophe model results.
- Use RMS, AIR and EQECAT to perform property and casualty catastrophe modeling and generate occurrence loss distributions.
- Present results to clients and brokers.
- Analyze how the distribution of results and relevant risk measures change as a result of application of various proposed reinsurance alternatives.
- Identify significant considerations that insurers should address in designing their reinsurance programs.
- Use vendor catastrophe modeling software to provide price indications for reinsurance alternative structures.
- Participate in business development efforts to strengthen client relationships and improve client services.
- Lead and train junior catastrophe analysts on property and casualty including accident and health catastrophe modeling, as well as data management using Arc View and MapInfo
mapping software.



QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science or related plus
two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as an Instrat Data Analyst, Catastrophe Analyst or related.
- Must have property and casualty catastrophe modeling experience for projects or accounts in the insurance/re-insurance industry utilizing AIR, RMS or EQECAT.
- Must also have experience performing data management with ArcView or MapInfo mapping software.
