Responsibilities:
·The successful candidate will deliver a broad range of risk analysis services related to life insurance and annuity products and the companies that offer them.
·Financial reporting and management
·Demutualization, mergers, acquisitions, public offerings and other restructurings
·Application of international accounting and other financial measurement systems
·Litigation support
·Product development
·Cash flow analysis, surplus and risk management related to insurance company liabilities
·This candidate will also provide audit support to the life insurance teams, including reviewing and analysing client information and independently developing findings.
·This individual will utilize existing software or develop models to augment the review and analysis.
·Completion of projects will generally require the use of a variety of actuarial methodologies utilizing Excel, reserving software and other computer applications.
Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, economics, mathematics or related quantitative disciplines.
·5+ years of experience as a life insurance actuary; consulting experience preferred but not required.
·New FSA or ASA with a commitment to achieving Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
·Strong verbal and written communication skills
·Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities
·Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and Access
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·Interpersonal, management and presentation skills
·Commitment to client service and business ethics
