Responsibilities:
·The successful candidate will deliver a broad range of risk analysis services related to personal and commercial lines, such as automobile liability, general liability, workers compensation and medical malpractice.
·Services include traditional loss reserving and ratemaking projects as well as many unique projects, such as financial performance review, strategic planning and analysis, merger and acquisition valuations, reinsurance program review and expert witness testimony.
·Completion of projects will generally require the use of a variety of actuarial methodologies utilizing Excel spreadsheets, loss reserving software and other computer applications.
·This candidate will also assist with the audit of property & casualty insurance companies
Works with audit team to develop actuarial aspects of audit plan
·Meets with client
·Reviews and analyzes client information in order to conclude on actuarial aspects of audit plan
·Communicates findings in a clear, non-judgmental manner to audit team
·Participates in marketing efforts, such as: Proposals, Industry specific papers, Presentations
Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, economics, mathematics or related quantitative disciplines.
·10+ years of experience as a property/casualty actuary; consulting experience preferred but not required.
·Strong verbal and written communication skills.
·Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities.
·Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Interpersonal, management and presentation skills.
·Commitment to client service and business ethics.
